We’re thrilled that our alumna Laura Carter, historian of education, social change and everyday life in twentieth century Britain, will soon begin as a Lecturer at the Université de Paris. Laura will be affiliated with LARCA, an interdisciplinary research unit of Université de Paris and CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research) whose members study the histories, literatures, arts and cultures of English-speaking countries and their links to the wider world. Since receiving her PhD from Trinity Hall, Cambridge in 2016, Laura has held positions as a Research Fellow at King’s College, London, a Junior Research Fellow at Murray Edwards, Cambridge, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the ESRC-funded Secondary Education and Social Change Project. Bonne chance, Laura!
