We’re thrilled that Divya Subramanian has received an Honorable Mention for the North American Conference on British Studies’ Walter D. Love Prize, awarded to the best articles in British history written by a North American scholar. Divya’s article, “Legislating the Labor Force: Sedentarization and Development in India and the United States, 1870–1915,” appeared in Comparative Studies in Society and History, 61:4 (October 2019). We’re also very pleased to see that Ellen Boucher, NYCTC alumna, was awarded the Walter D. Love Prize for her article, “Anticipating Armageddon: Nuclear Risk and the Neoliberal Sensibility in Thatcher’s Britain”, which appeared in the American Historical Review in October 2019.
